Attachments

Just to inform some of you about computer viruses, If you click on the
attachment and look at what the extension of the file name is you will see
if it could be a virus or not. Graphics files will usually have extensions
such as *.gif - *.jpg - *.bmp viruses will have extensions like *.bat or
*.exe if you receive an attachment with the latter extensions after the
file name don't be worried just delete it and no harm will come to you. The
only way you could get your computer infected is to click on the programs
attachment and have it saved or installed on your hard drive. Viruses on
the net are blown way out of proportion.
I do think however that for some people the file size of attachments can
take a painfully long time to download from your server. And when you get
your mail you do not have the option of picking which messages you download
so I really think the attachments should be kept below 30k files I have
seen files attached on here which are over 500k which is almost like a mail
bomb to some people :)
You can decrease the size of your pictures by saving them with lower
resolutions or lower colour values such as 256k colours or less instead of
16bit or 24bit colours. And if you can save the picture without the colour
pallet this will decrease the size of the file by a great deal.
