Organic nitrogen sources

Dale:

I'm not an organic grower, but I guess I could still talk to you anyway.
Just kidding, I respect peoples dedication to organics. Although I don't
have a lot of experience with organic fertilizers I've been told fish
emulsions, cottonseed meal, and blood meal all have fairly high nitrogen
contents. They are commercially available but considerably more expensive
per unit of nitrogen than synthetic fertilizers. Also plowing under green
manure crops especially legumes like white clover will add significant
amounts of nitrogen to the soil over the course of the season.
