Who's out there?

Introducing myself -

I live on Vancouver Island, Canada, and this is my second year of pumpkin
growing. 

I'm one of several in this group who have a 'pumpkin page' - its a humorous 
pumpkin diary, in which I relate my 1996 adventures, mistakes, and 
accomplishments in this insane sport. Check it out at:

Some of you from last year may have noted the family rivalry I had
with my nephew Duncan McAlpine over who could grow the biggest pumpkin.
I claim foul play because of the crummy seeds he sent me. This year will 
be different! I have a few Holland 728's, and any day now I'll be getting
more monsters in the Farmer Gus draw. Give up, Duncan! - This year you
are finished before you start!

I envy those of you who have acres to work with. I'm on a city lot and will
have to rely on mounding as the vine spreads onto the lawn.
