I prefer to hand pollenate with a camel hair paint brush. Do it in the morning
when the female blossom just opens. Keep track of the female bloosom. 
Understand what day it will first open and collect fresh male pollen via the
paint brush and apply to the female blossom. Collect male pollen from several
different male flower and even from different plants. Keep records of which
plant you collect you pollen from and what the lobes are on the female 
blossom.>
