It is possible that mounding the vines may help wilting a little. When you
put soil on top of the vine, you will get a second tap root out of the top of
the vine. With extra roots, maybe it would take up more water. It will not
eliminate wilt though. Mounding will not help fruit set on hot days. Above 90
degrees you will start having trouble.
