Re: Pumpkin records

Dear Duncan,

I have one.  In Oct. 96 I purchased at a charity weigh-off an AG pumpkin
weighing 402 lbs. grown by Rick and Amy Foster in South Dakota.  Was not
a "sanctioned" event but very reliable commercial scale and good
weighing technique was used.  Not sure what town in SD the Fosters are
at, but this would appear to be a new state record.

P.S.  What happened to my 56 lb. pumpkin that used to be on the big
list.  Nobody else cares about it I'm sure, but it was fun to see it
there, even if it was near the bottom.  Chris Anderson probably misses
his listing too.  Amazing to see that one would have to grow a 700+ lb.
pumpkin to even break into the top 200!
