Well, I took the step today and started some seeds. I am trying to start them
in moist towels inside "baggies" at 80 to 85 degrees. I did one test seed and
after two days it began to push out a root. I soaked the seeds overnight in
water with a little captan included. This will be a first for me in that I
always started them in little pots before. Live and learn. Also I built a few
greenhouses out in the field using 1/2 inch PVC pipe, rebar, duct tape and 6
ply plastic. I got the idea from one of the videos and I can easily make a 6
foot by 8 foot shelter in a matter of minutes. They seem sturdy and I will
make small windows in each end before I actually put my plants inside.
The fun begins. It has been along winter. I have some good seeds and high
hopes. My goal this year is to break through the 700 pound barrier and to
cross some plants to get great seed for next year.
