Re: Aussie Link

Hi Stewart

The organic page looks good.

I agree entirely a Canberra group needs to be set up.

This is off the record - I am disappointed about Andrew's lack of
prizes. Vouchers from his nursery even good. He could have received
good publicity easily for his nursery. Please do not repeat this.
Andrew was sent two polo shirts, for officials, I hope he gives you one
for your help.

We leave it to the sites to arrange their own categories and prizes, we
make suggestions. But it is completely up to the sites. I do not think
Andrew has many categories etc.

Really any vegetable is eligible to be entered at an AGPVS record, even
if there is not a category or prize. Andrew has received copies of all
the records, so if there is a new record, AGPVS, Australian or World, he
can verify, and notify us. He is to take photos of all the competitors
with their vegetables also for future use. Which should be good
publicity. The photos are returned to the AGPVS for future promotion
etc.

Perhaps you can tactfully suggest a couple of vouchers or something as
prizes.

I have sent media releases etc up to him, so I hope the media will come.

Please be tactful in what you repeat from this email.

Good luck with your pumpkin, Wendy
