Glen,
Sorry to here of your demise with the 977. I test germinated 3 seeds last
year and again with another 3 seeds this season. These were seeds that were
nicked, chipped, deformed and generally not what you would want to send out
to someone requesting seeds. My germination was 100% on all counts. I am
wondering if by chance your seed starting mix or if direct starting the
ground was a little too wet. If you soak your seed, your seed starting mix
only need be slightly moist. Last year I my seed starting mix for my
Ciliberto 697 was to wet! I had given up all hope, after 12 days it finally
popped out of the ground. How long have the seeds been planted and have you
pulled any up to see if they have damped off?
