Zoo,
Your seed starting mix should be as wet as a wrung out sponge, no more.
Most commercial potting soils are way too heavy ( dispite their claims of
being great for starting seeds). The bag you want will say seed starting
mix.....lightweight....usually contains vermiculite.....sterilized......add a
few good seeds......80 degrees....leave them alone.......wait 5 days and
you'll be wondering what to do with the extra plants. Hang in there old buddy.
