Wayne county
Hello all-
I just thought I would send out a little note to let everyone know how things are shaping up
in Wayne county Ohio. My 827 Holland sprouted today. I have hills constructed 30" high, 15'
long, and 10' wide composed of rich compost, the best topsoil, and some fertilizer. I have a
heated greenhouse built for the seedlings, and more good seeds just waiting to pop the surface.
Some other growers have built some interest, and several of them have expressed goals to break
the state record. One grower will have two plants grown in his nursery greenhouses, and his
seeds will probably up any day now. Good luck to all you northerners with 30" of snow instead
of compost, this year you won't be able to catch us in Sept.
