Fellow seed selectors,
I thank all of you who entered my little contest almost 6 weeks ago,
and am going to suprise a few with what I am planting.. The Ciliberto
697 is a given, although with the amazing prices that seeds are going
for in the auctions, I have given thought of passing on planting this
and putting it up for auction so my local contest can start towards the
500 dollar goal. Im sure this would bring in a 3 digit figure! The top
two candidates I think I am going with if I decide to auciton that seed
would be a few I recently got in trades. Drum roll please......... LLoyd
935 is one, and the other is the Mombert 866. I have also acquired 3
Burke 1092's and 2 1010 McKenzies, but will wait a year to see what they
grow this year.
As for the contest, Most picked the Mombert big seeds, a few
Mettlers , and a few of Pul Handys seeds, and I thank you for the input.
I reached into the hat, and am picking the winner right now.. For the
trip to Hawaii and 10 thousand dolllars in cash.. the winner
is............ Dan and Beth Carlson!!!!!
Wait, the trip and cash has been canceled, but we have some lovely
fill in gifts.. Tell them what they have won!!!!! How about three seeds,
first we have a Mombert 780 (567.5Mombert X 946.5 Geerts), second we
have a Hester 513(567.5 Mombert X 827 Holland), and last we have Sherry
LaRues 750 (S. LaRUe1016 X McInnis 810).
