I agree with you ...partially. In a pumpkin with brown seeds, the white
seeds are flat and immature or nonviable. You can get a pumpkin with all
white seeds that are mature and viable. From my experience, the squash or
green skinned fruit tend to have white seeds and the orange skinned fruit
usually, but not always, have brown seeds. My twin 650 pounders this year
were white seeded.
