Re: Southern California Planting Times?

Dan,

I live in Redlands. Two years ago I planted around June 1st and had ripe
fruit in early October. Last year I waited until June 14 or so and had a
very poor crop. I don't know if El Nino had anything to do with it or
not. First year was with plain old catalogue seed. Last year was with
some of Chris Anderson's finest and as I said I had a very poor crop (
read VERY POOR).

This year I plan on planting around Memorial Day if I can get the plot
ready. Last years patch is unfortunately now front lawn but my wife had
that lawn or else look in her eye.

Good Luck,

Tim Clark
