You've got some great looking seeds Connie. The two that I've
thought about quite a bit (because I have them too) are the Greer 727
and the Lloyd 906.5. Looking at pictures of the Kuhn 929 gets my
hopes up concerning the Lloyd 906.5. That picture of Kuhn standing
there with his hand reached up about shoulder height on top of the
orangeset, roundest 900+ pumpkin ever gets me dreaming of the same.
And the genetic tendency to throw thick walls of the 727
(plus the fact that it's one of my only "proven seeds")
makes me lean toward the 727. Hard to argue with that pedigree
chart. Has that pumpkin produced any other big ones besides the 740
last year?
So, those are my picks for you.
Maybe you could give me your opinion of my 3 "proven" seeds:
727 Greer
506 Shapiro
449 Marcellus
