I have had excellent luck germinating my seeds this way. Last year, the 858 Baird
97 germinated in 24 hours and the slowest of my 13 plants took 68 hours - that
was the 935 Lloyd 97. Eight of the plants germinated in 47-60 hours. A side note
-- The largest pumpkin I grew last year came from the 858 Baird and some of the
smallest pumpkins were from the 935 Lloyd.
