The Ortho folks recommend Daconil once weekly during outbreaks of mildew, but
since you sprayed before the outbreak, you should only need to spray once
monthly unless you get a heavy rain (unlikely in your location this time of
year?).
Sorry to learn of your stem breakage. How did that happen so many times?
