RE: CONFUSED TAP ROOTS

matt: This is normal mound soil around the top area of the vine by the leaf junctions and you will create a secondary root system.

Subject: CONFUSED TAP ROOTS

Not having too good a year here in Ohio for some reason, have beautiful, healthy looking plants, although my female blooms won't open for some reason meaning i still have no pumpkins and open patch is this coming weekend and pick day coming in October but thats another story and im still trying to figure out why they wont mature and open.    ok enough babbling, here is wat im wanting to know, My main vine and runners all have a good tap root system but a few of my plants are also growing tap roots out of the top of the vines    they are coming out looking just like the ones from the bottom and a few of them have snaked down underneath and took hold      any ideas what causes this or is it normal??

and im open to suggestions on the female bloom problem too
thanks  Matt
