Re: 4 girls in a row
Mike:
I have this happen on my 471 Hester this year.
one was a 7 lober.
My guess is that it is rare... but still happens.

To see a photo of my plant from an 815 Andersen with 4
females starting at 4
consecutive leaves go to Rock's page at
http://www.pumpkinsontheweb.freeservers.com/ and click
on Giant Pumpkins
(left frame), then Patch Updates, then My friends'
updates, then scroll in
the right frame to Mike Stephenson and click on the
appropriate picture.
Note that the second from the left has two leaves
forming at the same point,
the upper leaf having a male and a female and the
other having a female
only. Seemed unusual to me. Anyone seen this before?
Mike
