Ever since I got involved in this hobby, I've felt a desire to meet
the one and only Howard Dill! It is after all, "Dill's Atlantic Giant".
Howard, if you're out there, I hope your wife gets well soon.

Subject: Meeting Howard Dill
What a great day! Today Bill Greer and I travelled to Baltimore,
Ontario to the home of John Lyons (Squash Champ) to meet the one and
only Howard Dill. Unfortunately while travelling in Ontario, Howard and
his wife were involved in an automobile accident and his wife is now in
the Oshawa hospital. Howard has a little time on his hands waiting for
his wife to be released and John Lyons invited us up to meet Howard.
We talked pumpkins for 4 solid hours including over a wonderful meal
served up by John's wife Hazel. Took lots of pictures and presented the
"Master" with a Prince Edward County Pumpkinfest Hat (2000 model)
John has a great garden with a beauty of a squash and several up and
growing pumpkins, watermellons, tall corn, marrow, sunflowers, giant
carrots and hubbard squash. Thanks Howard, John and Hazel for a
memorable day.....Jim Ives in Picton, Ontario.
