   I think a major component of ironite is iron sulfide (FeS) which has alot 
of sulfur in it. A 10 pound dose on an average size plant could be as much as 
 500 pounds per acre. We'll have to find out from the manufaturer what the 
acidifying affect is when applying a certain amount on 1,000 square feet. If 
someone was sitting at 6.3 pH and dropped pH a point ...to 5.3, that would 
not be a good thing to do. I think Jim Kuhn did a major overdose by mistake. 
When we get some more info from ironite, this should all sort out and we will 
know how to apply it while keeping an eye on pH.
