Well its late, but its also time for a quick update.
The weather is really inhibiting growth at this point. Massive plants with
little fruit. Well mostly little.
900 Lyons is doing good with 3 fruit still on this plant. One more for sure
will be removed depending upon growth rates. Fruit are all pale yellow at
this point and getting to the point where they can be seen anyway.
800 Edwards West plant is throwing the only squash in the patch. They are
very long and light green. One secure fruit on this plant.
800 Edwards East plant is growing well. The fruit is very white and round,
only the blossom is trying to roll under. This set my new record for 18 days
at 60" in Circ.
986 Hester SQ DQ plant is throwing nice yellow fruit with a nice shape.
Looking good.
616 Corkum SQ plant is doing quite good, aggressive vines and medium/ steady
fruit. Very wide and low fruit.
730 Stellpflug plant is throwing fairly long fruit that look good. Plant
looks good too.
611 Hester SQ is a massive plant with terribly ugly fruit on it. Lemon
yellow, overly long. Crap.
1026 Holland plant is one that if it continues at the current rate without a
split will make Joel proud. White fruit with pink in the ribs, my biggest
fruit.
801 Stelts plant is throwing ugly things too. They are Orange, but yikes.
846 Calai plant is still young in the fruit department. Too early to tell.
968 Hester plant is throwing yellow fruit, medium fruit growth, but steady.
969 LaRue plant is throwing lumpy fruit, but doing well.
723 Bobier plant is slow growing in vines, but the fruit are rolling well.
940 Mombert was planted late, but the fruit look good at an early age.
780 Eaton plant is doing good. I removed a great fruit for a potentially
greater fruit. Probably stupid, but we will see.
815 Checkon is the first dud of the year. It is a massive plant, but nothing
will set on it.
946 Geerts plant is doing good still. Lisa cut off a great big 250 pound
wheel today in favor of a younger fruit with more length to it.
850 Hester plant has some big honking leaves on it. Dinky ass fruit, but hey
it has big huge leaves. I said ass.
935 Lloyd has a fruit on it in the same place I always have a fruit on that
plant in that site. The third year in a row in the same site with the same
seed and a fruit within a foot each other. This one is a bit shorter and
wider than the previous two.
That is the low down. No numbers yet, don't want a Jinx.
