Late start advice

Hi List,

My pumpkins finally started to vine in Colorado Springs
(I moved in mid-July and got them into the ground
late). Anyway, I'm new at this but remember someone
providing advice earlier about burying the vines at
certain points to increase the feeding points and
accelerate growth. I can see tiny pumkins beginning to
form at the end of some vines. I would appreciate any
advice on whether to bury the vines and what, if
anything, I should use for fertilizer? I'm not trying
to break any size records, just hoping for something my
kids can harvest in Oct.

THANKS!
Mike
