Re: Patch update
Your Welcome Mike ,I picked up my copy through amazon.com.....best couple
bucks I ever spent.....the book walks you from beginning seeds to having
panic attacks at the end of the season hoping your pumpkin can make it to
the weigh-ins....hahaha....really it was that informative....like I said I
have never grown pumpkins but I know when I start mine in my patch .....it
will be one plant to a mound...I'll grow a few back up plants incase
something should happen ...but these plants grow at amazing rates by all the
information I have read and I just don't think there's room on a mound for
two plants unless your not growing to raise that next world record and are
just growing a few for the joy...then I guess let em grow and see what
happens.....but most of these serious growers are giving close to 300 sq
feet for each plant a 20ft X 10ft spot is only 200 sq feet sooo if you have
two plants in one mound your gonna need at least 200sq feet in both
directions so one can head one way and the other towards the other side
...if you have the room let em grow....good luck to you Mike!!
