Hi, my name is Jim Sherwood from Mulino, Oregon. This is my first attempt at
the mailing list so bear with me. I am a second year grower under the
tutelage (sp?) of the Pumpkin Guru (so he calls himself!). I had my first
catasrophe 2 days ago. My largest pumpkin in the patch split. It was from
the 688 Hester and was 43 days old. Measured out at 285" and the official
weight was 514.5lbs!!! This seed produced my 730 lb pumpkin last year, which
would have been blown out of the water in about 15 days. Oh well, in the
words of the immortal Mr. Handy, SUCK IT UP!
