alfalfa
George, Hi!
We took the bait on the alfalfa hype. IF we do it again, we'll use it in
tea form. Our experience with pellets caused the plants and the soil to
desiccate. No amount of water brought them back to their earlier
vigorous state, and the former garden now resembles a desert, with dead
brown stalks sticking up from dead brown dirt.
The GOOD NEWS: We experimented on our prized zinnias, stocks,
snapdragons, carnations, and hollyhocks, NOT on the pumpkins.
Was alfalfa a glut on the market and prices falling? I would LOVE to
hear from the rest of you.
