Yo Beth,
I put hotwater bottles under the cover where the fruit is...but
not touching the pumpkin..this keeps it warm at night. I also have a few
hundred feet of undersoil pipework that I can pump hot water through for
when the ground gets cold..unfortunately this season its under the 789
Zunino plant and this fruit split on 1st August. I have a log burner which
heats the water for free and a 50 year old water pump that does the job..but
not for this year.
