Tests

Hey Crew,

Back on the list from a little break. Been busy at farmers markets and
working as cement finisher. So my pumpkins have been some what
neglected.....

But have one that is doing ok except for its herendous
shape....600+.....like a lazy boy chair..........and the right angle in the
middle is no exageration..........can't do jack to the plant as it is so
high risk ....thats right no fert...........from David Bhaskaran 656 it
was the first to sprout and showed aggressive early rooting that surpassed
all my others .......definetly a "wild thing"

Read a few from the archives and am convinced that if we are going to test
hormones , stimulants ,ironite........... ferts we might do better to look
at row crops that have the magic substance applied. I mean AG are toooo
wild and we need to test it on something that is more fixed . Like every
other tomato plant or every other corn stalk and then you can see if there
is a difference.

I tried that with" Super thrive" and there does seem to be some positive
plant response to that product. Last year I tried mychorrizal fungi on AG
and couldn't see jack. This year tried it on tomatoes that had no fert
added and they kept pace with the row that had fert. But still not sure if
its a barn burner product. It does seem to have the ability to help plants
retrieve nutrients................so it seems like if you use the right
fert you can do the same.

Perhaps it would be good to use on soil with high salts and you don't
want to add any more ferts (salts).....................

until later MBrock
