John:
I have been on the mallorn pumpkin list for at three years, mainly as a
reader. I enjoy your posts from NZ. You know that strawberries won't really
produce until their second growing season? But, I love strawberries. How
about strawberries and decorative small gourds and Jack-Be Little pumpkins
and some regular jack -o- lantern pumpkins? Or maybe mix in some Prizewinner
and Big Max?
It is a good idea to give your soil a rest, but don't give up on the pumpkins
completely.
