The best went down last wednesday.
List,
to some this could be old news but I was asked that I should atleast
mention to the list to let all who lurk know......My best to date went
down last wednesday..actually it split out on a rib joint......was a
very nice pumpkin growing on the 900 Lyons squash seed.......Final
measurements were .....83x86x 160.5" very wide and long flat fruit
...still growing at 15 to 18 pounds a day when split was noticed....I
let her go one more day and then cut her and weighed it at out plants
digital scale..she topped out at an even 718#..WOO HOO!! my first ever
to the 700 mark......Anyone wishing to see a pic can email me privately
and I will gladly send a shot of this fruit with your truely proudly
showing her off!!LOL!!!!!! This sport pumps you up one month then rips
your heart out the next!!!!!!! It happens.....Oh well.....thsi one was
at day 50 when it was cut off.......still soft and growing nicely!!!
