Tertiary vines should be cut off as soon as possible. It's very helpful to pinch them off as soon as they appear. Makes the whole job a lot easier,
helps prevent other vine, leaf damage and soil compaction from having to get in there and walk around cutting them off. ....
Also improves air flow.
