Ok all Today Aug.5th 2002 I was brought back to the real
world of pumpkin growing. I came home from work and went out to the patch to
see my buddies and there it was! A green and black lady bug eating the flesh of
my best pumpkin. You see up until now I have been cruising along just watching
the pumpkins grow, enjoying the fact that I did learn from my mistakes last
year. And now this, I have a regular spray schedule and all has been good. I
had some sun burn and a little wind damage in the beginning but no bugs. I have
been using Malathion, every 7 to 10 days but tonight when I found the happy moocher,
I bought Ortho Systemic
Insect Killer I heard this
works well. My question is can I spray the fruit itself and what has had the
best success with cucumber beetles????? I cleaned off the spot were the bug had
eaten and pasted it with captain 50W. Need help with this a.s.a.p. Thanks Dennis d*@attbi.com http://home.attbi.com/~dhouser/photos.htm |
