RE: East Torrance report

Right there with you bud!  I am coasting at this point.  I have a couple of young-uns, but I don’t even know when they were pollinated.  I am not even measuring them at this point, just hitting them with fert. And watching them grow.  If I get to any size, I will pick back up with the measurements.  Oh well.  I have a lot of ideas of what I want to do next year.  Hopefully I will have one of those lucky years people keep talking about.

 Well List here it is

The East Torrance report...
Been a really depressing week as the weather has cooled off and so have the pumpkins.. Along with slow growth the stems holding up the leaves get tobacco brown at soil level and then the perfectly beautiful leaf falls off what is left is a black and gray mess at ground level...got PM and about out of good humor... I have two pumpkins on the 900 Lyons .. they were 70 and 72 inches in diameter on day 20 then matured and slowed to a stop at 97.5 and 97 inches diameter.
The 611 Hester was 78 inches diameter on day 20 and on day 30 was 106.5 inches but has slowed and now is putting on around 10 lbs a day .. I am sure it will mature like the rest and stop growing soon..
The 758 Smith is almost out of leaves it only had 400 sqft to grow and now has less then half of that to function on.. and leaves are falling FAST.. 74 inches at day 20 and now over 100 but who knows gave up on it and it just sits out in the garden like a truck tire..
After such a great year last year I now know I was just lucky, reality has hit and I am just going to ride the storm and hopefully have a great Halloween !!
Well, that's it the Torrance report !!!!  Take care and GROW EM BIG !!!
