HAUNTED HOUSE AND
GIANT PUMPKIN WEIGH-OFF !!!
Saturday, October 19, 2002
4:30 P.M. check in begins
6:00 P.M. Weigh-Off begins
Prize List: (largest by weight)
1st Place: $800.00
2nd Place $500.00
3rd Place $300.00
4th Place: $250.00
5th Place $150.00
6th - 10th Place $100.00 ea.
Any contestant receiving a cash prize for their
pumpkin MUST leave their pumpkin for display purposes.
Growers not placing will be allowed to ferry their
pumpkins out of the park at 10:00 P.M. Growers must be
present and checked in with their pumpkins no later
than 5:45 P.M. The entrance gate to the Des Moines
Park will be closed at 6:00 P.M. to protect the crowd,
and entrance after that time by auto is not possible.

Driving Directions: I-5 Northbound: Take WA-516 W
-exit number#149B. I-5 Southbound: Take WA-516W, exit
#149. Drive towards Des Moines (west), merge onto S.
Kent-Des Moines Rd., turn right onto 24th Ave., turn
left onto S. 223rd St., 223rd becomes Cliff Ave. S.
Continue down the hill into the park to the weigh-off
area near THE HAUNTED HOUSE.
