Hi all
Well my computer has been down and I finally got it back to running order...
I don't have much as it goes for pumpkins this year have a terrible problem with soil diseases but still have two taping in at 505 and 524 lbs as of ten minutes ago with The 654 Troy running the late season gauntlet at 410 lbs on day 33 and still has absolutely no ribs nor maturing appearance still as round as a beach ball and as smooth as JAZZ ..... I learned allot this year but one thing is that both my 594 and 758 only look like the male pollinator (723 Bobier) All pumpkins are white to salmon color and very short stem to blossom, Nothing like the mothers .. Another is that the runners can be buried too deep I tried this year to keep them about 4 to 6 inches deep but that allowed the leaf stalks to fill with water and rot on the vine plus the vines themselves are spongy and rotted reprised the pumpkins are getting any juice!! two of my trunks are over 20" in circumference and I will never deep bury the vines again !!
Hope all of you are doing great and I sure am looking foreword to seeing a few of you at the weighoffs and the rest I will love to keep up with your seasons as I have for a couple of years now !! Please keep posting your progress !!! AND PS... Congratulations for Vince on the progress of the GE Electric. Those of you who love to TRASH him haven't had time with him, I have had the pleasure of having a couple of lunches and a dinner or two with him. HE TRULY devotes himself to this sport and I am holding my breath he brakes the CA State record. Brock, Glasier, Ceja, Miller, Mitchell, Zunino, Stucker and Hunt are among the BEST CA has to offer !! I have none to compete with so God speed to all of you and lets see ALL THE CALIFORNIA STATE RECORDS FALL SEVERAL TIMES THIS YEAR !!!!!
