Alright guys, I know more of you have sold fruit!!!!!!!! I will keep all the
personal data confidential. Keep the info coming!!!! I need about 50 more
data points to get a somewhat accurate idea of what we as growers are selling
them for. Thanks to the people who have already sent me info on what the
sold theirs for.

Tom I have sold winners from pumpkins that won contests for $1.00 per pound. That is from the 500 pound level up. (If they what it they will pay). That size and bigger than that if they are in nice shape and are yellow to orange and are over 400 pounds I can today get 50 cents a pound and the buyer pays the shipping. (I have to deliver and pack it for that) Bottom line there is a great market for 400 pound plus pumpkins at fruit markets, shopping malls, country clubs, events, partys and every other event you can think of.
Good Luck.
If the price for a Nice Orange Pumpkin is below 50 cents a pound I don't worry about selling it. I find a nice place to donate it to make the kids feel special on Halloween.
Then Plan for next year
