I take it she's thru to the cavity then?  I remember my heaviest last year started to crack on ribs, quite wide, i stopped being so nice to the plant and they healed up (but stopped/slowed growth).  If this is the case with GE dust her with some fungicide and hope for the best.

Please make sure you weigh GE on a certified scale. If you do, I'll record her as an EXH (exhibition).
