vine split

Hello List ,

This is Sue, In Michigan, and I have a question about vine split, I have
2 pumpkins Zack who is around 240lb and Mahayla who is 120 lb and at the
vine end they are both split.

Is there anything I can do to help the vine?  Will it keep splitting and
die.  Any help would be wonderful
