Cheers All.
It was time for an update to the old 1993 equation. So here it is.
Weight in pounds = 0.0000703 x(times)OTT(in inches) to the power of 2.795
Take OTT (Over the top sum of three measurements) to the power 2.795 first.
in Excel format Weight = 0.0000703*(OTT^2.795)
This equation gives the best fit to the recent AGGC weight data over 1200
pounds. Thanks Mike Nepereny for the great database.
As with the previous equation the sport is in predicting the weights of
future champion pumpkins.
Best Regards,
Bob Marcellus.
