New Equation
Gordon,
There are a lot of pumpkin weights in Mike Nepereny's database and in '02 I
used all of the data and came up with the exponent portion of the equation.
This year I noticed that all of the larger (2001 or later) pumpkins weighed
heavy by an average of 42 pounds compared to that 02 equation. So what we
have here is what we all expected -the progression of a genetic strain of
fruit that that has thicker walls and doesn't split as much. Interesting eh?
