Hi List,
I have a question on fertilizer. I have been fertilizing with miracle grow
15-30-15 every couple weeks or so. I used peters 20-20-20 a few times during
June, but mostly it has been the miracle grow. I had my best fruit split at
135 pounds right after it started gaining 20 pounds a day. The other good
fruit I have on that plant (520 Pugh) is getting to that weight, its 110 now
and gaining 15 pounds a day. It looks just like the first fruit. (wide, like a
wheel of cheese) I cannot afford to have another split because I don't have
anything that will get to a decent size this one goes. What do I do about
fertilizer right now? I am scared to do anything that will possibly give it a
"bump" I am scared of a split with a fruit shaped like that. I have it shaded,
my watering is even through drip hosed on a timer spaced evenly through the
patch. Any tips? Or anything I shouldn't do. Should I fertilize? Is there
anything specific I should use? any advice will be appreciated.
