RE: Searching for a 801.5 Stelts

Yep, you're doing it right. Everybody on the list is getting your
message. Don't be shy though, we are a friendly crowd! :-)

You found the right place, and the right person, to help you beat that
4-H girl next year. Kyle's pumpkins go heavier than 250 when he's
barely paying attention. And keep reading these posts... when the
weigh-offs take place in September-October, you will see people posting
official weights over 1000 pounds. Maybe even Kyle... :-) Those are
the people you need to ask for seeds, and growing tips. Many of them
hang out here.

Welcome to the craze!

Kyle,

Thank you for writing back to me. I am a family physician in Jefferson
City---23 years. I just this week signed up for this pumpkin growers
e-mail
service and I have been getting about 8 e-mails per day. Am I doing it
correctly by just hitting "reply to" to send a response? Does this mean
that
the e-mail is going to "everyone"?

I have been gardening for many years and trying to grow large pumpkins
for the
last 5 or 6 years. I have just been ordering Dill's Atlantic Giant seed
from
the catalog---you know, 5 seed for $3. I have yet to break 250 pounds.
When
I got beat this year at the local county fair by a 4-H girl, I decided
to dig
deeper and go online to look for better seed and better techniques. Do
we
even have a chance in Tennessee for a big one? Are we too hot---80's
and 90's
this summer? Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Charles

  Hello All,
I'm searching for only (1) proven seed for next year...the 801.5
Stelts.
I have several top seeds to trade for one, and finally have the
growing
experience to do the plant and pumpkin justice next year.
Please contact me if you have one, and are willing to discuss a trade.
  Thanks much,
  Kyle Little
