Absolutely right, Glenn, but how does anybody know if Lars' claim is
true? If it was indeed on 4 bathroom scales, the record should be
denounced. If it had a hole, it should be denounced. However, if these
things weren't verified when the record was posted, the record should
stand until the grower verifies Lars's claim, or 2 or three witness
verify his claim in an official public forum of some sort.
This of course is my not so humble opinion, I must admit. I feel
strongly about it though. I don't think we can denounce records based
on a single email from cyberspace. That would simply erode any
integrity the weigh-off results had, and all the records out there would
be in question.
