RE: What is this "wound?"
Vince, thanks for your suggestion. BUT it seems dry and never seemed wet or
soft. Lookswise, it reminds me of a sci-fi or horror movie, like when layers
of skin are falling/eaten off... Maybe like the acid bath scene. Or like a
blister with the skin removed but still not healed. It never looked like it
was leaking anything, never wet/pussey/frothy, never seemed soft.
Should I still wash it with a bleach solution or apply a dusting of Captan or
brush on some Daconil, or let it be? Should I uncover it? I wonder if the sun
shone thru a crevice or seam in the shade cover and acted like a magnifying
glass or something...

I'm not sure what that is but it doesn't look good. I would
wash the area with a 10% solution of bleach and then give it
some full sun until it dries out completely.....
