Well, since I spoke to you last, we have had the remnants of 2 hurricanes and
now 95 degree heat. The 906 Tanner still has the longest main vine, but the 2
Bhaskarans simply took over. The 736 was the biggest until the 759.5 blew
everything else out of the patch.
My biggest pumpkin is on the 759.5, but it only measures 162 inches total (105
pounds). This is something you guys up North would pinch off. Two weeks ago
it doubled in size in 3 days, but now it is growing very slowly. I don't
think it likes the 90+ degree heat. I am watering faithfully and it is
shaded, but it doesn't seem to be doing any good.
Sorry Gordon and David, I tried, but it looks like God had other plans this
year.
