Ok
I have been growing regular pumpkins for almost 60 years but I have only
been growing giants for 2 years..My first year produced a 256 lb orange
beauty and my second year has produced squat .
The issue this year has been deer and the evil woodchuck...I have lost 25
wonderful females to the wicked teeth of the mighty woodchuck...I have
trapped several of these evil beasts and moved them to new homes and I have
protected the rest of the patch with the fragrant urine of the red fox...(
this is no small feat...first you have to catch the fox...and then you have
to get him to drink a 6 pack of CORONA but I digress)
The issue I know face is that I have no female flowers but about 50 male
flowers...my son...a wildlife biologist has suggested that I might have the
only gay pumpkin plant known to man
where have all the ladies gone
concerned in RI
