I think this is just a case of where the plant energy is going or that it did not get pollinated
effectively. But that's just a guess. I have hand pollinated some and they still don't
grow and just fall off. I have seen some get to softball size and I think get wet on the
bottom and start rotting. It's hard to say precisely. Sometimes they take off like mad
and are softball size in 2 or 3 days.
