Re: Bees

Bees are better in the garden than in your home, especially the
type of bees that bring their own toolbox. I don't think
eradicating or moving a hive from your foundation is trivial.
You may need some professional help from an expert.

When I was a kid, some bees found a hole in the siding of our
house and established a nest in the space in the wall of my
brother's bedroom. We tried several things to get rid of them
but were unsuccessful. So my brother lived with the sound of
busy bees in the wall just above his bed for a year or two.
Let me tell you those guys are loud and party all the time!

Then they must have had plumbing problems with their honey comb
because a whole section of the wall which was covered with
wallpaper started to stain a dark sweet smelling color... My
mom had had enough and insisted the bees go.

So early one morning we nailed a patch over the hole in the
siding..... The angry buzzing lasted for over a month and was
so loud my brother abandoned his room. We closed the door to
the bedroom and sealed it - fearful that the bees would somehow
claw through the wall board and take revenge on us. You could
hear the buzzing through the sealed door of the room! For over
a month we lived in fear with the constant sound of angry bees.

In retrospect, we needed professional help....
