Ditto the Pulp Mill Belting. It drains immediately & mice have never been
able to chew through it here.

Heavy duty?fabric that can breath is best for what you want to use it
for,Find yourself some of the smoothest possible so the pumpkin can slide as
it grows ,if not it will bind on the fabric and deform,I have been using it
for the past six years or so and works yery well,I use a belting material
from a local papermill, its used to dry the wood pulp .very rugged material
and very smooth, lets water drain and keeps critters out. What ever you use
just cut a 6x6 square and slide it under the pumpkin,At this time of year it
may be almost impossible to do that so be careful moving the fruit,The only
time I move the fruit was in the heat of the day ,things are a little more
flexible then.
Hope this helps
