I'm covering my AG tonight with a couple of comforters. The thought came to
me today that many late-season splits in AGs could be due to temperature
extremes. Duh! Heavy hitters here in VT at the fairs around 30% lower in
weight this year due to rainy conditions since May. This seems to be a common
problem in upper New York state and upper New England this year. I don't feel
so badly about my AG, which I finally measured and estimate at least 400lbs,
maybe (maybe) 475 and still growing.
